Low Density Polyethylene
Brotec low density polyethylene is a very popular flexible low cost material. Ideal for irrigation, low pressure pneumatics, water sampling, chemical lines, beverage conveyance and for food contact applications. Meets the Australian Standard AS2070-1999 Section 4.1.1(a) and the requirements of FDA 21 CFR 177.1520© 2.1for food contact. For use in areas not affected by heat and preferably away from direct sunlight. Polyethylene has excellent chemical resistance and is available in imperial sizes 3/16″ to 1.0″ and metric sizes 4mm to 16 mm.
Medium Density Polyethylene
Brotec medium density polyethylene is an ideal compromise between the hardness of High Density and the flexibility of Low Density. Hardness is biased more toward High Density. Brotec have recently supplied the Victorian Desalination Plant with a grade of medium density polyethylene for prolonged outdoor application.
High Density Polyethylene
Brotec high density polyethylene is a popular engineering plastic. Most commonly made to customer specifications, the material has high strength and hardness. High density polyethylene is used for fixed pneumatic installations and for food and beverage networks.
Polypropylene
Brotec polypropylene tubing also meets Australian and FDA standards for food contact. Polypropylene has excellent chemical resistance and is suitable for use in chlorinated water applications.
